Yes, Cayzu will automatically convert an existing contact/user to an agent account.

To do this, add a NEW agent using the same email as the contact that currently exists.  Upon the save, you will be asked to confirm the transfer of that email from a contact/user to an agent.  Once that is complete the NEW agent will receive an activation email to finalize the setup of the account.
