When would you use a company over a contact

A company in Cayzu is an organization that you will then be able to track and support within the help desk.

A company is set up as a hierarchy and can contain associated contacts (users), assets & tickets.  Example: 

 

 

The association of contact to company can be done manually or via domain name.

For example, if you set up Nike Inc with the domain name: nike.com all emails that match the domain: nike.com would be automatically associated to the Nike company.  

If a company is created AFTER a contact already exists, you can manually add any existing contacts that should

belong to that company by editing the contact and then choosing the associated company.

Contacts that belong to a company can also be set up to be able to view all associated tickets from that company in the end-user portal.     

A contact can also be an individual that is NOT associated to any company, meaning someone that does not have a company and is just an end-user looking for support.
